We've been filming weddings on the side since 2018, and made wedding videography our full-time job in 2024. We film dozens of weddings each year.
When’s the best time to book?
We have been getting more and more requests, and are working to add more team members to cover dates we already have booked. We always recommend reaching out as soon as you’re thinking about booking.
What are the Different Types of Films you Provide in Your Packages (Highlight Film, Full Day Film/Ceremony and Reception Film, Wedding Trailers)?
Highlight Films are usually around 4 minutes up to 7 minutes (depending on your package selection) and include highlights from your day (getting ready, reveals, clips from your ceremony and reception, etc.) with music and audio taken from important/sentimental moments from your wedding day. You can expect to receive your Highlight Film 4 weeks after your wedding. Highlight Films included in every package we offer.
Full Day Films (or Ceremony and Reception Films) are designed to capture your day in a more complete, documentary style. We include every angle of the major events, paired with the professional audio we record using lav mics during those moments, and deliver it all in a comprehensive Full Day film. You can expect to receive your Full Day Film 8 weeks after your wedding.
Full Day Films are not limited to any number of events. We will capture anything and everything that happens during your day.
Examples of events are listed below:
- Bride reveal to bridesmaids, mom, dad, etc.
- First touch/First look/Private Vows/Letter Reading
- Ceremony
- Bridal Party/Couple Intro, First Dance, Father-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Dance
- Any games played during reception
- Toasts
- Bouquet/Garter Toss
- Any other fun thing you have planned during the reception (jumping on and smashing a table, serving Chick-Fil-A on the dance floor, special time with animals to pet, etc.)
Wedding Trailers are designed to serve as a quick snapshot of your wedding day to tease the other films that are coming later. A Wedding Trailer is 60 seconds with quick, flashy edits of your wedding day. You can expect to receive your Wedding Trailer within 1 week after your wedding.
Do you set up distracting lighting?
Absolutely not! We love the look of natural lighting. We may use a few lights during the special dances and toasts during the reception if the lighting is too low in the room, but we make every effort to keep it discreet and out of the way.
Do you record the vows?
We love recording the vows to help tell the story in your film. We can use the vows in the highlight film if you wish, or we can use snippets of the officiant and the toasts. For the Full Day Films, you get your ceremony film edited with all this included.
Do you record the audio for the ceremony and speeches during the reception?
Yes! In all four packages We record the audio for the ceremony and the speeches during the reception. Some of the audio may be included in the Highlight Film, and will be included in the Full Day Film.
How do you ensure it’s high quality audio?
For the ceremony, we use two to three Lav mic’s to capture audio, one on the Groom for both the Bride and Groom (or one on the Bride as well), and one on the officiant. Don’t worry, you wont have any wires showing, it’s discreet. It also won’t interfere with any signals coming from your DJ, as it’s all internally recorded. If you wish to not use a Lav mic, we have other options as well. W record the toasts by plugging directly into the DJ’s equipment and placing a recorder on the handheld microphone as well.
Will you get in the way a lot?
No way! We do our best to blend in on your wedding day. We don’t set up tripods in the middle of the isle or leave gear lying around. Our hope is that you would notice us about as much as you would notice your photographer.
Do we get to meet you before the wedding?
We would love to meet you before the wedding! If you live close, we’d love to grab coffee and say hi! Otherwise, we’d love to setup a Zoom call beforehand to go over details. We also will come out to venue visits if you set them up so we can walk the grounds and meet you and your vendors.
How long after the wedding do I get my film?
Our normal turn-around time for the highlight film is within 4 weeks. Full Day Films will typically be delivered within 8 weeks of your ceremony, and everything else will come within 12 weeks.
What happens if you get sick and can’t make it?
In all the years we’ve been filming weddings, we've never once missed a wedding day. BUT, if it were to happen, we would contact you immediately and would send a replacement shooter that we've personally worked with and trust to capture your wedding the same way we would. We would still handle the editing, so the film would still be what you would expect from Renowned Media.
Do you get along with the photographer?
We tend to get along with everyone. We're a pretty likable people. And, yes, photographers tend to love us. We’re super respectful of photographers, great communicators, and phenomenal encouragers.
We are excited to chat with you about your love story and your wedding day so we can help craft the perfect story that will last a lifetime!
